By using FOSS, health facilities can lower the cost of implementation but at the same time, preserve flexibility and customization which allow for a more cost-effective incremental approach. Supporting Vietnam to Generate Business out of Free and Open Source Software (FOSSBRIDGE)

This EU/BMZ project supports cooperation between European and Vietnamese enterprises on Open Source Software. Until 2009 the twinning project will train Vietnamese software enterprises and developers and initiate joint software development projects in FOSS with European IT companies. It thereby aims at an affordable and sustainable ICT model for developing countries and the strengthening of the local ICT service sector.
